THICKEST, RICHEST HOT CHOCOLATE
EVER!
 
1/3 cup heavy cream
1 cup half & half
1/4 cup sugar
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet Ghirardelli chocolate, very finely chopped or grated
1-2 tsp. vanilla extract
a pinch of pumpkin pie spice
whipped cream (Reddi Whip)

Heat heavy cream, half & half and sugar in saucepan on low heat. Do not boil.

When almost boiling, pour over chocolate and stir until melted and an even consistency. Add vanilla extract. Beat with hand mixer for a bit of froth.

Top with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice.

Note: If you find this to be just TOO thick and rich for you, you can add milk. It will still be the best hot chocolate you've ever had.
