PERSIMMON COOKIES 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. butter
2 beaten eggs
2 c. (mashed) canned squash or pumpkin
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. salt
2 c. cooked raisins
2 c. chopped nuts

Mix well, drop by spoonful on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. On cooked raisins, means to soften and drain excess water off.
