BEEF BRISKET 
3 to 5 lbs. beef brisket
3 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. paprika
2 c. boiling water
1 sm. onion
Mushrooms (optional)

Rub vinegar into meat. Sprinkle with seasoned salt, garlic powder, and paprika. Bake, uncovered, 1 hour at 350 degrees. Add boiling water around, not on meat. Top with onion slices; cover and bake 4 hours at 300 degrees. Cool in refrigerator overnight. Slice thin; add mushrooms, if desired, and reheat at 300 degrees for 1/2 hour or until hot.
