1 c. shortening (2 sticks butter)
1 c. sugar
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2 eggs
2 tbsp. grated orange peel
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 c. chocolate chips

Cream shortening, sugar and cream cheese. Add eggs, orange peel and vanilla to sugar mixture; mix well. Stir in salt and flour into dough; mix well. Add chocolate and mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Watch carefully - do not brown.
