1 lg. passion fruit
2 medium papayas
1/2 c. native home brewed sherry
1/4 tsp. more or less fresh lime juice

Serves two, or more, if recipe is doubled. Cut fruit in quarters, discard seeds; place in wooden bowls, sprinkle sherry, sugar, and juice over all, then dig in, or lay down and enjoy it, whatever the case may be.

Paul Gaugan, born 1848 (now deceased) migrated to Tahiti, specialized in painting beautiful exotic native women. His most favorite (and hasty concoction I might add) that he would prepare for his live models, and he called this recipe - "Noonlight Madness".
