HOMEMADE BAKED? APPLES
While there are any number of prepared applesauces on the market, homemade always tastes best. This recipe literally takes 15 minutes.

6 peeled, sliced or cubed apples
2 tsp. (approx.) Molly McButter
2 tbsp. sugar
Cinnamon and/or nutmeg to taste

Place the apples in a medium sized pot with about 1/4 inch of water in the bottom. Sprinkle with "Molly" and the sugar and cinnamon. Cover and turn stove up to high. When the water comes to a boil, gently stir the apples so that they are evenly moist, replace the lid, and allow apples to stew for about 5-10 minutes. (If water evaporates, add a little bit more.)

Depending on how crunchy you like applesauce, remove from heat, leaving pot covered until ready to serve. If there's any left, place the remaining applesauce in a microwaveable dish for reheating the next time. My family especially enjoys this dish with pork chops or a pork roast. Enjoy.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
