BREAD PUDDING WITH LEMON SAUCE 
4 c. bread crumbs
6 c. milk
4 eggs, beaten
3 c. sugar
1 1/2 sticks butter, melted
2 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt

Heat 5 cups of milk and pour over crumbs. Cover and let stand about 5 minutes. Add sugar and salt, mix well. Beat eggs with remaining cup of milk. Add to bread mixture. Add butter and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into buttered casserole dish and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

LEMON SAUCE:

Heat 1 cup of water to boiling. Mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, dash of salt, and 1 cup of sugar together. Add to boiling water and cook until clear and thick. Add 1/4 cup lemon juice and 1/2 stick butter. Mix well. Spoon over pudding.
