LEMON SQUARES 
1 c. butter, softened
2 c. plus 1 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. confectioner sugar
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
6 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. baking power

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine butter, 2 cups flour and confectioners sugar until well mixed. Pat into 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes. Beat eggs slightly, ad sugar, lemon juice, 1 tablespoon flour, baking powder; stir well. Pour over baked crust. Bake 40 to 50 minutes. Sprinkle with additional confectioners sugar. Makes 24 squares.
