PECAN CANDY 
2 c. canned milk
4 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Chopped pecans, desired amount

Place milk, sugar and butter in heavy pot. Stir constantly one direction and cook for 45 minutes on slow heat. Test candy by dropping a small amount in cold water. If candy forms a soft ball, add pecans and vanilla; beat for a few minutes. Pour on well greased plates, use butter to grease plates. Cut into desired squares immediately. Makes 2 1/2 dozen pieces.
