CANDIED PECAN HALVES | |
1 lb. pecan halves 1 egg white 2 tbsp. water 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. salt Beat egg white and water to a froth in large bowl. Add nuts and moisten well. mix dry ingredients well and pour over pecans. Stir carefully to coat nuts evenly. Spread pecans on cookie sheet and bake at 250 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Stir about every 15 minutes. |
