CHOCOLATE BUTTERSWEETS 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 - 1 1/4 c. flour

Cream butter; add sugar, salt and vanilla. Cream well. Gradually add flour. Shape by teaspoonfuls into balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet; press hole in center of each. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes (should not be browned). Fill while warm. Cool and frost. Makes 36 cookies.

CREAMY NUT FILLING:

3 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. flaked coconut

Blend sugar, flour and vanilla into cream cheese; cream well. Stir in walnuts and coconut.

CHOCOLATE FROSTING:

1/2 c. chocolate chips
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. water
1/2 c. confectioners' sugar

Melt first 3 ingredients over low heat, stirring occasionally. Add sugar and beat until smooth.
