1 c. butter 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. powdered sugar 2 c. flour 1 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla, then flour. Mix well and add nuts. If too soft, chill overnight in waxed paper. Cut pieces with the edge of a teaspoon and roll into a ball the size of a small walnut, in the palm of your hand. Place on ungreased cookie sheet 1" apart. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes until light brown. Watch carefully or lower the temperature. When cool, roll in powdered sugar. Makes 3 dozen. Recipe can be doubled after trying the first time. |
