MICROWAVE RICE 
2 c. hot water
Salt & pepper to taste
1 chicken bouillon cube (optional)

Rinse rice well. Bring to a boil in a pan; 2 cups hot water, salt, pepper and bouillon cube. Put in covered casserole. Microwave on high until it boils, about 5 minutes. Add 1 cup of rinsed rice. Cover and microwave on defrost for 18 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
