MICROWAVE SAVORY RICE | |
1 c. long grain rice 1 tbsp. oil 2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. minced onion or 1/2 c. fresh onion 1 clove minced garlic or 1 tsp. minced garlic 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. parsley flakes 1/2 tsp. paprika 1/4 tsp. savory (basil, rosemary or oregano) 2 tsp. instant bouillon 2 c. hot water Heat oil, butter, rice, onion and garlic for 2 minutes on high stirring once after 1 minute or until brown. Add all other ingredients. Cook on high for 5 minutes. Stir. Cook 10 minutes more covered (lid or plastic wrap) or until liquid is absorbed. Fluff with fork. |
