PEANUT BRITTLE CANDY 
2 c. shelled peanuts
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. corn syrup

Put all ingredients into pan. Boil until thick or on a candy thermometer 290 degrees or until some of the syrup dropped into cold water forms a brittle thread or ball. Peanuts will pop like popcorn. Remove from heat; add 1 teaspoon baking soda. Stir well. Pour quickly into greased pan and spread. Let cool, then break into pieces.
