BATTER DIP 
1 egg, separated
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. melted butter

Beat yolk, add salt and milk; mix well. Add flour gradually; beat until smooth. Blend in butter. Beat egg white until soft peaks form. Fold into batter completely. Good for onion rings, fish, etc.
