TURTLE CAKE | |
1 box German chocolate cake mix 1 (14 oz.) pkg. Kraft caramels 1 sm. can evaporated milk 3/4 c. butter 1 c. chocolate chips 1 c. chopped pecans Melt unwrapped caramels in microwave with butter and milk; stir. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Spread 1/2 of cake batter in a 9 x 13 inch greased pan. Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Pour caramel mixture over baked cake. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans. Then pour remaining batter, over the top. Bake for 25 minutes more. Cool before cutting. Store in refrigerator. |
