BAR-B-QUED BEEF 
6 lbs. chuck roast
1 stalk celery, diced
3 onions, diced
1 green pepper, diced
1 (14 oz.) bottle ketchup
1 1/2 c. water
3 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. pepper

In large roasting pan, place chuck roast with celery, onions and green pepper on top. Mix together ketchup, water, vinegar, chili powder and pepper and pour over meat. Bake at 350 degrees for 4-5 hours.

Leave out for 1/2 hour and then take meat out of roasting pan and shred with fork. Put back in sauce and bake again 45 minutes. Makes 32 sandwiches; freezes well.
