PRESIDENTIAL CHILI 
4 lb. stewing beef (cut into bite sized pieces)
1 lg. onion
2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
1 tsp. oregano
2 tbsp. chili powder
1 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
salt to taste
2 c. water
1 or 2 cans red kidney beans (optional)

Place meat, onion and garlic in pot and cook until the meat is browned. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Simmer about 1 hour until the meat is tender. Skim off any fat before serving. Serve over rice.
