PICKLED OKRA 
1 c. water
8 c. vinegar
3/4 c. salt

Bring above ingredients to boil. Pour over okra which has been packed in pint jars with 3 to 4 garlic buttons and 2 hot peppers and dill if desired in each jar. Add pinch of alum to each jar, seal and let set 6 to 8 weeks.
