FAMILY FAVORITE CHICKEN
CASSEROLE
 
Stewed chicken, deboned

SAUCE:

2 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. flour
Dash salt
1 c. milk or broth
1 can mushroom soup

CROUTONS:

1 stick butter or less
3 pieces bread, trimmed & cut

Brown croutons carefully, watching for they tend to get ready quickly.

Using meat from one stewed chicken, pour sauce over chicken and top with croutons. Heat 25 minutes at 350 degrees.

I think using some broth is the secret that makes this simple dish taste good. Sometimes I use half milk and half broth.

Down home cooking! Also good for "new parents".
