"CRANBERRY - ORANGE COMPOTE" 
12 oz. fresh or frozen cranberries
1 orange, peeled & quartered, take out seeds
1 lemon, peeled & quartered, take out seeds
1 c. sugar
2/3 c. walnuts or pecan pieces
1/4 c. cognac or brandy

Chop 1/2 of the first 3 ingredients in food chopper. Remove and repeat with remaining fruit and berries. Stir in last 3 ingredients. Chill overnight and garnish with slivered orange peel. Great accompaniment to all roasts!
