THE ULTIMATE BROWNIES (MICROWAVE) | |
1/2 c. butter 2 sqs. baking chocolate 2 eggs 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla CARAMEL LAYER: 14 vanilla caramels 2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. milk CHOCOLATE LAYER: 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 c. coarsely chopped walnuts Place butter and chocolate in 2-cup glass measure. Cook on high 1 1/2 minutes, or until butter melts. Beat eggs in large bowl until foamy. Stir in chocolate mixture, sugar, flour, baking powder, and vanilla. Pour into 9-inch microproof baking dish. Set aside. To prepare caramel layer, combine caramels, butter, and milk, in 2-cup glass measure. Cook on high, 1 to 2 minutes, or until melted, stir. Spoon over chocolate batter. To prepare chocolate nut layer: sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over caramel layer. Cook on high 6 to 7 minutes, or until brownies test done. Brownies will be moist but will dry and firm as they cool. Cool before cutting into squares. 18 to 20 servings. |
