MEATLESS MEATBALLS 
1/2 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. Italian bread crumbs
1 c. ground walnuts
1 lg. egg
1 lg. onion, minced
1 pt. spaghetti sauce

Mix all ingredients except spaghetti sauce. Shape into balls and brown in oil. Place in greased casserole. Cover with spaghetti sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. May be simmered in skillet over low heat for 45 minutes instead of baking. Makes about 10.

This recipe is great! I am a vegetarian but miss certain things sometimes, like meatballs. THEY TASTE EXACTLY LIKE THE REAL THING! I did add 1 cup of shredded cheese to the mix and that made them extra yummy! I may try putting them in a crock pot (after browning them) with bbq sauce or something next time....that would be really good to take to a cookout too. My husband always thinks vegetarian versions of things are gross, but he LOVED these! Highly recommend this recipe!
