TOFFEE CRUNCH BARS 
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. brown sugar (I use dark brown)
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 (16 oz.) pkg. Heath bits
1/2 c. chocolate chips
6 reg. size Hershey chocolate bars (optional - omit makes crispier bar that is less rich)

With mixer, cream butter well, blend in sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla. By hand mix flour. Fold in chocolate chips and half the package of Heat bits. Press into ungreased jelly roll pan (15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches). Bake at 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes or until lightly browned.

Remove from oven and immediately place Hershey bars on top. Allow just minute or two, then spread melted chocolate evenly. Sprinkle with remaining Heath bits pushing them into soft chocolate gently with a spoon. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
