BANANA TEA BREAD 
1 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. mashed bananas (2-3 bananas)

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Beat shortening until creamy in bowl, add sugar gradually to mixture and continue beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs, beat well, add flour mixture, alternately with bananas. Add small amount at each time and mix after each addition only enough to moisten ingredients.

Turn into greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes until bread is done. Makes 1 loaf.
