STEAMED CHOCOLATE PUDDING 
3 sqs. unsweetened chocolate
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. milk

Grease a 1 1/2 quart mold (or coffee can to be covered with aluminum foil). Melt chocolate and set aside to cool. Sift together and set aside flour, baking powder and salt. Cream together until soft the butter and vanilla. Add sugar gradually, beating until fluffy. Add eggs, beating well. Stir in chocolate. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk. Beat only until blended. Pour into mold. Place in covered pot in one inch of boiling water. Steam 1 1/2 hours, adding more water if needed. Serve with hard sauce.
