FRENCH FRIED ONION RINGS 
1 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
1 c. milk
1 tbsp. salad oil
4 sweet Spanish onions

Sift first 3 ingredients; set aside. Combine egg, milk, oil, mix well. Add to dry ingredients. Cut onions 1/4 inch thick and separate. Dip onion rings in batter. Fry in deep fat at 375 degrees, turn once, drain.
