FRIED ONION RINGS 
1 lg. onion
2 c. buttermilk
1 egg, beaten
Flour

Cut onions approximately in 1/4 inch slices and separate into rings. Mix slightly the beaten egg and buttermilk. Dip onion rings into flour, then dip into egg and buttermilk mixture. Dip into flour again. Fry in enough to oil to cover rings. Salt and pepper after frying.
