BAKED ZITI 
1 lb. egg
1 1/2 lbs. ziti (zitirigati, rigatoni)
1 lb. Mozzarella
1 - 1 1/2 lbs. Ricotta cheese
1/2 c. Romano or Parmesan basic Marinara

Cook ziti until desired consistency. While boiling shred Mozzarella. Place inside. Mix Ricotta, egg and Romano or Parmesan cheese together in a bowl. Add 1/2 of Mozzarella and mix together.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Drain ziti, rinse pot, then in same pot place 1 cup marinara. Add ziti noodles (should be only slightly wet with marinara; add more sauce, if necessary). Add cheese mixture and stir well until mixed well. In aluminum pan (deep), cover bottom with marinara sauce. Add macaroni-cheese mixture. Cover top of macaroni with sauce. Sprinkle well with Mozzarella. Cover with tin foil. Bake for 1 - 1 1/2 hours. Serves 6-8.
