CHERRY-APPLE PIE 
1 1/2 c. fresh or frozen cherries, chopped
1 1/2 c. chopped apples
3/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3 tbsp. butter

Combine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in cup. In unbaked pie crust layer cherries, then apples, then sprinkle sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg mixture. Continue layers until all fruit is in crust, dot with butter, then top with crust and seal edges. Brush top crust with butter and sprinkle a small amount of sugar mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
