PEANUT BRITTLE 
2 c. sugar
1/3 c. water
2 c. raw peanuts
3/4 c. dark Karo syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking soda

Mix sugar, water, syrup and salt. Cook on medium heat until sugar dissolves. When temperature reaches 225 to 250 degrees, add peanuts. Cook until hard crack stage, about 290 degrees. Take off fire immediately and add 4 teaspoons baking soda. Stir fast and pour into large buttered pan. Crack when cool.
