MACAROON COOKIE BARS 
CRUST:

1 pkg. devil's food cake mix
1/2 c. butter, softened

TOPPING:

14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 1/4 c. flaked coconut
1 c. chopped nuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9x13 inch pan. In large bowl, combine crust ingredients. Mix at low speed until well combined; mixture will be crumbly. Press evenly into bottom of greased pan.

In small bowl, combine condensed milk, vanilla and egg; beat until smooth. Stir in coconut and nuts. Pour mixture over crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Cool; cut into bars. Makes 36 bars.
