1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash salt
2 squares chocolate
1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 1 tbsp. vinegar

Cream together sugar, shortening, eggs, vanilla and salt. Add milk and flour alternately. Melt chocolate and add to ingredients. Mix in soda and vinegar. Pour in pans greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
