OATMEAL YEAST ROLLS 
1/3 c. shortening
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. oatmeal
1 egg, beaten
1 pkg. yeast
3/4 c. dry milk or 1 c. milk
4 c. flour

Combine 1 1/2 cups boiling water and first 4 ingredients in 5 quart bowl. Cool to lukewarm. Add egg and yeast, mix well. Sift dry milk with 2 cups flour. Add to oat mixture, beat until smooth. Add enough flour to make soft dough. Turn onto floured surface, knead until smooth and elastic. Put in greased bowl, cover with waxed paper and towel. Let rise for 1 hour or until double. Shape into desired shapes for rolls. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
