3 c. diced apples
1 1/2 c. sugar

Let stand 10 minutes.

2 eggs
Dash of salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. nuts

Add eggs, salt, cinnamon and nuts; mix well. Add flour and soda. Place in 9 x 13 inch pan.

Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.

SAUCE:

3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
3 tbsp. flour
6 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix well.

Boil 2 minutes. Stir constantly, while hot, pour over cake. Cool and serve with whipped cream.
