TEA RING 
6 1/2 c. flour
2 c. lukewarm water
1/3 c. sugar
2 yeast cakes
1 tbsp. salt
2 eggs
1/3 c. shortening, melted and cooled

Place yeast, lukewarm water in sugar in bowl. Add salt and 2 cups flour. Blend with electric mixer or egg beater 2 minutes. Add eggs and melted and cooled shortening. Beat 1 minute. Gradually add remaining 4 1/2 cups flour stirring until dough is mixed.

On floured board mix 5 minutes. Replace in bowl and allow to raise for 20 minutes. Divide into 3 parts and roll in butter and cinnamon and sugar and/or raisins and/or walnuts. Roll carefully. Put into pans. Cover with a towel and let raise for 40 minutes. Bake 375 degrees for 25 minutes.
