1 3/4 c. butter 1 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. sugar 1 egg yolk 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. flour 1 c. chopped pecans Mix 1 cup butter, 3/4 cup brown sugar and sugar until creamy. Beat in egg, vanilla and salt. Stir in flour and 1/2 cup nuts. Press dough evenly in jelly roll pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Mix remaining butter and brown sugar in small pan. Bring to boil and boil, stirring constantly 3 minutes. Prick dough all over with fork. Pour syrup over and spread quickly. Bake 5 minutes. Sprinkle with nuts. |
