MARINATED ONIONS 
1 lg. mild onion
1/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dried dill
1/2 c. white vinegar
1/4 c. water

Cut onion into rings. Combine remaining ingredients and stir until sugar dissolves. Pour liquid over the onion rings and refrigerate for 5 hours, stirring occasionally.
