FILLED PEPPERS IN SAUCE 
3 lg. peppers
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 roll Jimmy Dean sausage
1 med. onion, chopped small
3/4 c. raw rice
1/2 sm. can tomato paste
3 tbsp. vinegar
3 tbsp. brown sugar
Salt & pepper to taste
Water to cover

Mix meat, onion, rice, salt and pepper well. Cut each green pepper in two; forming cups. Fill with meat mixture. Place on bottom of wide deep pan. Mix tomato paste, vinegar, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Pour sauce over peppers to cover. Bring to a boil. Cover and cook until rice is soft, about one hour. Thicken sauce with flour mixed in a small amount of water.
