OVEN BARBECUED SPARERIBS 
4 lbs. spareribs, cut into 2 rib portions
2 tsp. cornstarch
2/3 c. unsweetened grapefruit juice
1 tsp. curry powder
1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
1/8 tsp. ground allspice

Arrange pork spareribs in large open roasting pan in one layer. Roast for 1 1/2 hours in 325 degree oven or until tender. Meanwhile, in 1 quart saucepan, over medium heat, heat grapefruit juice and remaining ingredients to boiling point. Cook one minute, stirring mixture constantly to prevent sticking. During last 30 minutes of roasting time, brush ribs frequently with grapefruit juice mixture.
