PRIZE WINNER CRANBERRY BREAD 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. orange juice
1 1/2 tbsp. orange rind
1 beaten egg
2 c. fresh cranberries, chopped
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Mix all ingredients together, pour into greased, standard size loaf pan or two 5 x 7 inch pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for approximately 1 hour. This is a moist bread.
