BISCUIT STICKS 
1/3 c. shortening (butter Crisco)
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk

Heat oven to 450 degrees. Heat 1/3 cup shortening (or butter) in a square 9x9x2 inch pan in oven until melted. Remove.

Prepare biscuits. Put on lightly floured surface. Knead 10 times. Roll into 8 inch square. Cut dough into halves. Cut each 1/2 into 8 strips, about 1 inch each.

Dip strips into shortening, coating on all sides. Arrange strips in 2 rows in pan with any leftover shortening. Bake until golden, about 15 minutes. Makes 16 sticks.
