BROCCOLI RICE CASSEROLE | |
1 c. onion, chopped 1 c. celery, chopped 4 tbsp. butter 1 (4.5 oz.) jar mushrooms, sliced 2 c. cooked rice 1 can cream of mushroom soup 2 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen, chopped broccoli 1 (8 oz.) jar Cheez Whiz 1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts Saute the onion, celery and mushrooms in the butter. Cook broccoli according to package directions. Place the rice in a large mixing bowl; add the sauteed vegetables. In the skillet you cooked the vegetables, add the cream of mushroom soup and the Cheez Whiz. Cook until the cheese is melted. Mix all ingredients together. Put in a buttered baking dish and bake at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes. |
