ANGEL BISCUITS 
1 c. shortening
5 c. plain flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. sugar
1 pkg. yeast, dissolved
2 c. buttermilk

Cut shortening into dry ingredients. Dissolve yeast in 2 teaspoons lukewarm water and add buttermilk. Mix all ingredients well. Roll to 1/2-inch thickness and use biscuit cutter. Refrigerate until needed. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
