BREAD PUDDING 
3 1/2 broken stale bread
4 c. milk (warm)
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
5 oz. raisins
2 tsp. vanilla

Sprinkle a little cinnamon on top. Break stale bread in baking dish, warm and stir in the sugar, beaten eggs and vanilla. Pour this mixture over the bread, add raisins. Cover casserole. Bake about 1 hour at 350 degrees. Refrigerate and serve cold.

LEMON SAUCE:

1/2 c. sugar
1 c. boiling water
1 tbsp. cornstarch
Dash of salt
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/8 tsp. nutmeg

Mix sugar and cornstarch, gradually add boiling water. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add butter, juice, salt and nutmeg. May serve it hot or cold. It thickens when cooled.
