BREAD PUDDING 
5 eggs
2 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 qt. scalded milk
1/2 c. butter

Beat eggs. Add sugar and vanilla; mix and add nutmeg, scalded milk and butter. Add bread crumbs. Stir all together. (Can add dates and/or raisins.) Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes in 8 1/2" x 13 1/2" baking dish.

SAUCE:

1/2 box vanilla pudding (or lemon), NOT instant
1 1/2 c. milk

Cook until it begins to get thick. Spoon over cooked bread pudding.
