GRACE'S BREAD PUDDING 
1 loaf bread or stale bread ends
6 c. milk
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. raisins (opt.)
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. butter

Soak bread in milk until softened. Add remaining ingredients except butter; stir well. Melt butter in casserole dish, then pour in mixture. Bake until very firm, about 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serve with Lemon Sauce.

LEMON SAUCE:

1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. water
3 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. butter
