CREOLE BREAD PUDDING 
2 1/2 c. cubed stale bread
2 egg yolks
1 1/4 c. milk
Water
1/4 c. raisins
2 tbsp. butter
6 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Moistened bread crumbs with water. Squeeze dry. Mix crumbs with raisins and butter in 1 quart baking dish. Beat egg yolks with sugar, stir in milk until smooth, add vanilla and pour over bread mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve with sauce.

SAUCE:

1/2 c. butter
1 egg
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. real lemon juice

Cream butter and sugar. Heat in double boiler until sugar dissolves. Add egg and beat well. Add lemon juice, mix well. Spoon over bread pudding.
