MELINDA'S BROWN BREAD | |
1 box raisins 3 c. water Boil 10 minutes. Cool. 3 1/2 c. flour 1 1/2 c. sugar 6 tbsp. Crisco 1 tsp. vanilla 3 tsp. baking soda 2 beaten eggs 1/2 tsp. salt Add this to raisin mixture. Divide dough into 6 (3 ounce empty vegetable cans), or tin of your choice that have been greased and floured. Put on cookie sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. This freezes well. May use an electric mixer if desired. |
